BESPOKE PRACTICE MANAGEMENT
This service may be useful to assist in short-term projects, such as
preparing a firm for Lexcel. However, the service is also designed to
provide longer term assistance to firms, particularly those that do not
have their own practice managers. The service could be used to support
the firm on any issues relating to client care, the new Code of Conduct
and related compliance issues. These might include:-
- complaints handling,
- file reviews,
- updating office manuals, procedures and precedents,
- liaising with external auditors,
- staff training and CPD records,
- setting up of information barriers which comply with the new Conflict and Confidentiality Rules,
- setting up and monitoring referral agreements
- checking compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules and monitoring good accounting processes, such as regular billing
- updating partners on compliance issues and the changes to the legal environment.
- facilitating partners’ strategy discussions,
- assisting
in other partner, fee earner or staff meetings, such as agenda setting,
action planning, creating anti money laundering systems to comply with
the new Regulations.
The number of days per month would depend on the needs of the firm. In
order to make the most cost-effective use of time I would ask firms to
provide in advance of my regular days, an agenda of what they would
want me to cover.
Please contact me, should you wish to discuss how the Practice Management Service can support your firm.
